Is your child scared of dogs?

Are you considering getting a family dog but your child is too scared?

Kids around dogs is a national network of dog professionals that are specially trained to help and support families who need support to live safely or be comfortable around dogs.

The program is suitable for children aged between 4 and 10, and helps children to understand dog body language, how to stay safe around dogs and building confidence around dogs.

How does it work?

We use Cognitive Behavioural therapy to change the negative thoughts about dogs to more positive ones.

There are 10 sessions in the program split as follows

7 x weekly online sessions, each lasting approximately 20 minutes.

3 x face to face sessions, where a dog will be present, each session lasting approximately 20 minutes.

A parent or guardian is required to be at each session, to support their child through the program, and help with weekly games that we will set.

Once your child has completed the program they will be rewarded a certificate and badge.
